Introduced in mid-1975 and billed as the new “internationally-sized” Cadillac, the Seville was almost 1,000 lb (450 kg) lighter than the hulking Deville; nimble, easy to park, attractive and loaded with the full complement of Cadillac gadgets. More expensive than every other Cadillac model at US$12,479, the Seville was a smash hit, and spawned several imitators, such as the less-than-successful Lincoln Versailles, and later the Chrysler LeBaron/Fifth Avenue. To ensure the quality of the initial production run of Sevilles, the first 2000 to come off the production line were identical in color (Georgian silver) and equipment. This enabled workers to “ramp up” to building different configurations.

In addition to many internet forum postings from unhappy owners, one can find reference to the “whine” problem in Road & Track’s November 2006 issue. There are also numerous complaints with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) for both the 2004 and 2005 models. On page 6 of the November 2006 issue of GM High Tech Performance, author Rick Jensen claims to have an internal GM document indicating that some engineers within GM and Delphi realized the torque load from the engine could exceed the half shafts capabilities. Cadillac/GM have not released anything official, though some dealers have replaced the units under warranty.
C5-generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06, as well as the Corvette Z06’s six-speed Tremec manual transmission. From 2006-2007, the previous LS6 engine was superseded by the new LS2 engine as used in the base 2006 Chevrolet Corvette. The 2006-2007 update also included a stronger rear differential and half shaft design. Unique front and rear treatments also included mesh grilles over the front openings, a track-ready suspension, and eighteen-inch wheels inside of Z-rated Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar run-flat tires.
The Calais is a full-size luxury car

Cadillac from 1965 to 1976. In 1965, Cadillac renamed the entry-level Series 62 the Calais, after the French resort town of Calais. It was available in 2 and 4-door hardtop versions as well as the “formal-roof” 4-door sedan, which was a hybrid with frameless, hardtop-like windows, but with a pillar between them. With the exception of having no convertible, the Calais mirrored the slightly more expensive and well-equipped DeVille.
After the War, the Series 62 returned on a 129 in (3277 mm) wheelbase. The engine remained the same 346 cu in (5.7 L) L-head V8 as before. The Series 62 was the first Cadillac model to reenter production, launched less than two months after tank production stopped in the company’s factories. It was available as a coupe or sedan, with a four-door convertible version available as well.
CTS rode on the new rear-wheel drive GM

Cadillac with a manual transmission since the 1988 Cimarron. It replaced the mid-size rear-wheel drive Catera. The CTS name from the initials of C-Series Touring Sedan[citation needed]. The CTS was nominated for the North American Car of the Year award for 2002. The CTS is built at GM’s Lansing Grand River plant in Lansing, Michigan. The CTS was also assembled in China in 2006, but assembly was discontinued shortly thereafter due to poor sales in that market. The CTS in China is now an exported model once again.
Cadillac brand. It was introduced as the replacement for the Cadillac Catera in 2003. Designed by Wayne Cherry, the CTS uses edgy styling that Cadillac calls “Art and Science”, which was first seen on the Evoq concept car.saving it from extinction, as Cadillac sales fell in favor of imported luxury brands such as Lexus and Mercedes-Benz. Cadillac had begun trying to capture a younger buyer base in the 1990s, with the Catera and Allante, and finally succeeded with the CTS.
This engine is mated to a driver-adjustable automatic transmission with two shifting modes, larger brakes by Brembo, larger 10 spoke alloy wheels (18″x8.5″ front, 19″x9.5″ rear), Pirelli run-flat tires, a faster steering ratio, and a stiffer suspension than the standard STS. The engine block and cylinder heads are aluminum, the camshaft is cast iron, and the crankshaft is forged steel. Suspension is fully independent and there are four settings for the traction control system and stability control.
In addition to the grille, the front differences include the bumper, the fog light and turning signal cluster, and the fiberglass hood which is slightly domed to fit over the supercharger.
In the rear, the bumper is different from the standard STS and includes a wire mesh insert at the bottom which is made of the same mesh material used in the front grille. The rear spoiler is taller and wider, and encompasses the third brake light.
For the interior, the STS-V also has upgraded leather and suede trim contracted from the German company Dräxlmaier, whose prior credit includes the Maybach 57/62. Interior color choices were Ebony and Gray, both of which are offered on the standard STS as well, and a two-tone Ebony/Tango Red scheme which was unique to the STS-V.
